My BF and I got an old home last fall just off the square. Please pm me as I have soooo many opinions on this. Lots of options OP- don’t listen to anyone saying the city isn’t walkable. Most of the new new neighborhoods aren’t in the city limits and therefore aren’t connected. ![]() If you want new new, your best bet is the one I mentioned across Huntington/fenn. Some are less protected, but there’s options to avoid them. If you’re in the city limits, there is a sidewalk most of the time. Lots of older/newer options, but this is where you’ll avoid pre WWII homes. Sidewalks east go to lake medina off granger- and I believe they end on 18 by the hospital/ before the lake. Go west of court all the way to Ryan south of Lafayette and it’s newer homes- the further away from the square is newer. To the south, sidewalks run to Sturbridge. There is a giant new neighborhood across from huntington off fenn that you just have to cross one road unprotected, but the rest is marked with crosswalks. Sidewalks run from Fenn all the way down Huntington/Jefferson you can live in the newer subdivision from roughly Reagan up to that point and be connected to downtown via sidewalk. Again this is rough and based off eyes only- some of the ones by each other are mixed. Areas in yellow are houses that are roughly post WWII- 1980s. Please come say hi though- we’re pretty chill. I am sorry for their behavior, the one is in training. ![]() If you live north of liberty, you’ve probably seen me in the evenings with my 2 dumb dogs. I’m heated on this because I walk it every single day. Some are a stretch, but it’s all under 45 minutes one way if you want to walk it. If you actually walk the area, you know that’s not true. This is correct ONLY if what you deem as walkable is capped to 20 minute walk.
