Note: KB5001649 is cumulative and addresses both the issue above and the issue addressed in the Maout-of-band release for the APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error with a blue screen. See the Microsoft Update Catalog for instructions. You can import this update into Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) manually. For instructions on how to Check for updates, please see Update Windows 10. You will need to Check for updates to install KB5001649 and might need to also select Download and Install. It is a cumulative update, so you do not need to apply any previous update before installing it. Resolution: This issue was resolved in the out-of-band update KB5001649. Update: MaMicrosoft has resolved the issue in update KB5001649. So far, only un-installing the Microsoft March 9 Update or the Security Update for Microsoft Windows KB50000802 has restored the correct Solid Edge to PDF and print functionality. Setting the PDF export option "Transparent drawing view backgrounds" makes no difference. Changing the STRETCHMASKBLT_VERSION registry values has no impact. In the browser, press Alt-Shift-i to open the feedback pop-up. In any case, Id urge you to submit feedback so that the development team are made aware of the bug. Reinstalling the Solid Edge PS Printer does not improve this. If so, theres something different about the way Edge manages the CSS and I could try and find out what that might be If not, the problem may stem from the Chromium base. Navigate to Reset settings from the left pane. Select Microsoft Edge> Click Modify and then click on Repair. This also appears to impact multiple versions of Windows 10 that had a Microsoft March 9 Update applied. Open Settings by pressing the Windows+I key. This appears to impact all recent versions of Solid Edge with reports of this Microsoft update negatively impacting ST10 and SE2021. The latest Microsoft Windows 10 Updates released on March 9 are causing Solid Edge to no longer correctly print shaded views to PDF - shaded views are printed out as solid black blocks. Again, perhaps unrelated to PDF viewer, the select file function failure in the Tab list has also persisted over recent versions before and after I reset and reinstalled Windows 10 21H2.Microsoft Windows 10 Updates Effects on Solid Edge The latest Microsoft Edge version includes new features, security fixes, bug fixes and improvements to stability and performance. When I do that the ability to select files is restored to normal, but preview of PDFs not so. Good news for Microsoft Edge users Microsoft has released Chromium-based Microsoft Edge 1.76 version to Stable channel for Windows and Mac. This problem occurred with a previous previewer application prior to my reset of Windows and reinstallation of XYPlorer.Ī secondary issue that seems also to persist, not sure if it's related preview, is the ability to select a file in the Tab listing ceases to work until I close and reopen XYPlorer. A The only thing that works is to go to Configuration | Preview | Previewed Formats | Categories | Office Files and unclick PDF and re-check pdf, Microsoft Edge PDF Document. I am experiencing occasional lapses in XYPlorer where the pdf preview stops, rendering a simple message "Cannot be previewed". After my recent Windows 10 21H2 crash (and subsequent Windows reset) I found that Microsoft Edge handles PDF viewing more eloquently than PDF-XChange, Adobe Reader, or any of the other myriad of preview capabilities from 3rd party sources. In the past I've used the recommended PDF-XChange Editor as my add-in preview primarily because my Acrobat 9 installation can't accept the task for a zillion reasons if you look that up.
